After the Move

Well we've finally moved in to our new house, it looked a lot bigger before all the boxes and furniture were put in.
So the mass unpacking was started, almost everything has been done now just a few little things still to do. At least the house is less of an obstacle course now lol
Not sure about my new location in the house, at least I had a roomy corner in the old place, I'm more or less in a small cell now, sorry a balcony, closed in of course, cant let me loose on the passing public heh heh.
Anyway things are slowly but surely getting back on track and I can start getting the ScottishMetal Shows back on PowerHouseMix.net radio as well as working on the next podcast.
So here's to a new view out the window and a new beginning...kind of

Moving Times

Well whats happening now in the life of the kilted one?

We have finally been given the keys to our new house, it looks a little bit smaller but at least it's only on the first floor rather than the third that we're on just now, and I can park my car outside the dor rather than 50 yards away, so no more tedious climbs up the stairs with loads of shopping bags :)

As for inside, my only complaint is that the corner I'm being put in for the computer is smaller and out the way, I cant see the TV from my seat anymore :( This could mean, horror of horrors, spending less time on the pc. Think I'll need to get anew an faster laptop.

Even better news is that I'll be getting my car back this week :D The other insurance company finally ok'd the repairs. So this'll help a lot in moving stuff from house to house.

Just need to get the money sorted for the paint, carpets, new bed, new furniture etc and we'll be sorted. I suppose it's good in one way, we wont be moving as much but still, there isnt much wrong with what we have. Women and new houses eh?
I suppose if it keeps her happy then what the hell lol

So this all means that I'll be off the air for a few weeks while we got our stuff sorted and wait for the guys to come in and put a new line and broadband on.
So till then my friends, take care, play nice, rock hard but above all have fun

Ok so I missed the launch of Mayhem Underground, pity it sounded like it was a great night for all. But I was under a lot of stress trying to get my car sorted. If you've read my blog from before you'll know I was hit ny someone else. Turns out the people that where sorting it for me are a bunch of wasters. I ended up making all the calls myself to get it sorted. Just waiting to hear from the garage now to see if they're quote has been accepted and my car is getting fixed.

On the plus side, the council have finally found us a new house to move to as they're pulling the building down that we're in just now. So I'll be busy packing and organizing stuff (which means I'll be ordered around by the wife lol) over the next few weeks.

So I wont be attending any gigs for a while but I will hopefully still get a podcast out

Well another delay to the next podcast. I've been in agony for the past week with a sore back after a bit of a car accident. I hit a pothole on the motorway doin 70mph. It blew out my tyre and broke the suspension :(
Apart from having to shell out over £300 to get it fixed, I'm now told it could take up to a year before I get any compensation back.
On the plus side I'm hoping to get enough to pay off a couple of debts as well as maybe get some new machinery pc-wise. and hopefully a decent camcorder to take to gigs and do on-site interviews, so maybe there's a silver lining in there somewhere.
Anyway, the next podcast should be out next week with some excellent bands, so keep checking back.
